Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why do I need a qualified professional to prepare my taxes?
A. A qualified professional will:
- follow a code of conduct as a member of Chartered Professional Accountants
- be current in legislation, trends and practices, whereas a one-off tax preparer relies on the information you have provided, without knowing your business history or previous tax returns. It is important to be consistent and have the same professional who knows you and your unique situation.
- advise of deadlines and assist you in meeting them.
- deal directly with CRA on your behalf to handle inquiries
Q. How much does it cost?
A. All accounting companies are different and have various resources available to suit the needs of their clients. You can rest assured knowing our rates are in line with the current market and we don’t believe in hidden or additional costs that have not previously been discussed. It’s important to book a consultation as it is only possible to estimate costs after an in-depth needs analysis.
Q. How do I know that my data is secure?
A. All paperwork and electronic data is stored in locked facilities and only our staff members have access. All of our work is performed in Canada so your personal or business information is never transferred out of the country without your knowledge or consent. Our system is routinely backed-up at an off-site location in case of fire or any event beyond our control.
